The Boheme Restaurant Awarded Wine Spectator Award of Excellence and Orlando Magazine's Best Hotel R
ORLANDO, FL, June 27, 2005. The AAA Four-Diamond Boheme restaurant, located in downtown Orlando's AAA Four-Diamond Westin Grand Bohemian Hotel, can now add another feather to its cap. The newest recipient of Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence, The Boheme restaurant now officially joins the top echelon of restaurants throughout the world who meet the highest standards of wine service. With more than 200 selections on their boutique listing of wines, The Boheme demonstrates its commitment on a daily basis to continuously develop and maintain a stellar list of fine wines from around the world.
Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence is awarded following a lengthy application process, including a detailed description of wine programs, copies of restaurant and special event menus and a copy of the wine list including vintages and appellations for all wines featured. The Boheme will be listed in the magazine's August 2005 issue, a much-anticipated guide to what industry insiders consider to be the best restaurants in the country. Winners will also be listed on the Wine Spectator's web site: www.winespectator.com.
The Boheme was also named "Best Hotel Restaurant," in Orlando Magazine's June 2005 issue, a repeat performance from 2004. Additional awards include, "One of the Top 20 Best New Restaurants in Florida" by Florida Trend Magazine, and "Best Power Lunch" by the Orlando Sentinel.
The Boheme restaurant, headed by Executive Chef Robert Mason, offers classic, exotic cuisine and wine with a European flare and a modern fresh attitude. As a self-described perfectionist, Mason changes the menus seasonally and strives to create an over-the-top experience. In addition to being an award-winning chef, Mason has also appeared at the famed James Beard House in New York City.
"It is an honor and privilege to be voted as the best in Orlando and to be recognized by Wine Spectator," states Stuart Newmark, senior vice-president of The Kessler Collection/general manager of The Westin Grand Bohemian. "We strive to meet and exceed the needs of our guests and it is our goal to be the very best. I am very proud of my team!"
