Sanderson Named GM, Mission Point Resort
MACKINAC ISLAND, MI, April 10, 2006. The Grand Heritage Hotel Group, operator of the historic Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island, has appointed David Sanderson to the position of general manager.
Sanderson joins Mission Point Resort from the Rocky Gap Lodge and Golf Resort in Cumberland, MD. In other experience, he has held management positions at the Evergreen Conference Center and Resort in Stone Mountain, GA; the Columbus Hilton Hotel, Columbus, GA; and the Crowne Plaza Harrisburg/Hershey, PA.
The Mission Point Resort will open for the 2006 season on May 3. The resort offers 242 guestrooms; a lodge; dining facilities; and 38,000 square feet of conference space.
