Club Med Invests in North African Villages
EUROPEAN UNION, April 12, 2006. Club Med is investing heavily in its North African villages in response to increased interest from UK holidaymakers wishing to head to the region.
Steve O'Loughlin, Head of Sales for Club Med commented: "North Africa is a key focus area for us, particularly for the UK market.
It's proximity to Europe means it's a very easy destination for British holidaymakers, and the British public are a lot more aware of what the African continent has to offer.
"We have spent nearly twenty million Euros on two North African villages alone. The increase in bookings to these Villages demonstrates the popularity of not just the region, but also Club Med. There is a clear move from the UK market to North Africa and our strategic move upmarket is having the desired effect."
