Tourist Boards Partner for Da Vinci Code

LONDON, UK/PARIS, France, April 21, 2006. VisitBritain, VisitScotland and Maison de la France, have partnered with Sony Pictures and its global partner, Eurostar for a Da Vinci Code package.

The tourist boards of Britain, Scotland and France will be working to showcase the film and profile their destinations in over 40 countries around the world.Together they will showcase locations, destinations and attractions associated with the motion picture adaptation of The Da Vinci Code, which will be released worldwide May 19th.

A special "Money Can't Buy" trip is part of a special global campaign, A unique Codebreaker prize package, developed by the three national tourist boards, gives 140 enthusiasts of The Da Vinci Code from around the world the chance to win the ultimate, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Robert Langdon and Sophie Neveu.

The prize-winners will win free flights and rail travel, six nights' accommodation, coach and walking tours, and exclusive access - not normally available to the public - to the art, history, drama and excitement of Paris, London and Edinburgh.

The trip includes an exclusive private view at the National Gallery in London, home of the only Leonardo da Vinci painting in a UK public collection, "Virgin of the Rocks", which plays a vital role in the book. In addition, the winners will travel on a special Eurostar - Codebreaker train from Paris to London and enjoy four-star accommodation in Novotel hotels in the three capitals.

The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown has spent more than two years on the New York Times best-seller list. With more than 50 million copies in print, it has been translated into 44 languages.
