Crown Collection Appoints Joseph A. Giacoponello to Executive Committee
Joseph A. Giacoponello, former president of The Leading Hotels of the World, comes out of retirement
PARAMUS, NJ, April 26, 2006. The Crown Collection, The Language of Luxury, with sales, marketing and reservation services in the United States, as well as Europe, the U.K. and Russia, announces the appointment of Joseph A. Giacoponello, former president and CEO of The Leading Hotels of the World, to its Executive Committee. As president and CEO, Mr. Giacoponello is widely acclaimed for creating and expanding The Leading Hotels of the World's brand to include some of the world's finest hotels and resorts.
Helen Fullem, president and founder of The Crown Collection, The Language of Luxury, made the announcement. The appointment of Mr. Giacoponello is in support of the company's overall strategy to expand its client roster of luxury hotels, resorts, villas, sea cruises and destinations from 38 to 50 by the end of 2006. The Crown Collection is considered one of the foremost sources in upscale travel and is highly regarded among discriminating travelers and high-end travel agents seeking exceptional hospitality experiences. Ms. Fullem, who began her career at The Leading Hotels of the World reporting to Mr. Giacoponello in various operations positions, credits him with generating worldwide recognition for the brand and providing the foundation for which it stands today.
