Riva PR Introduces Naiade Resorts
MAY 8, 2006. Naiade Resorts, whose hotels and spas are ideally positioned on the idyllic coastlines of Mauritius, the Maldives and the Seychelles, are celebrating a successful year after total revenue for 2005 topped at lb29 million (Rs1,580 million).
Naiade Resorts has consistently built upon its existing success. Last year, the group's profit, lb6 million (Rs 339 million), was a phenomenal 14% increase on 2004. The beginning of 2006 has also shown a good start, where tourist arrivals in Mauritius in January and February were 18% and 15% higher than corresponding months the previous year.
The idyllic White Sands Resort & Spa in the Maldives, acquired by Naiade Resorts in November 2005, is expected to be one of the best performing hotels within the portfolio after it is fully extended and redeveloped. There are also great expectations for Desroches Island Resort in the Seychelles, once a further 56 rooms are built.
