William Stanton Named Area Managing Director LXR Properties
BOCA RATON, FL, May 11, 2006. LXR Luxury Resorts Co-Presidents Jean-Jacques Pergant and Joseph Berger announce the appointment of William Stanton as Fort Lauderdale area managing director, effective immediately.
Stanton is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of LXR Luxury Resorts' three Fort Lauderdale properties: the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six Resort & Spa, the Bahia Mar Beach Resort & Yachting Center and the Fort Lauderdale Grande Hotel & Yacht Club.
Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six Resort & Spa is a 380-room, 22-acre vacation paradise that is home to Spa 66, the resort's celebrated European health & beauty spa; a full-service, 127-slip marina; and the famed Pier Top, recently redesigned and reopened as a special occasion venue. Bahia Mar Beach Resort & Yachting Center is a 296-room, 44-acre waterfront resort and marina set amongst miles of scenic canals and sun-splashed beaches. Poised at the edge of Florida's majestic Intracoastal Waterway, the Fort Lauderdale Grande Hotel & Yacht Club offers 579 guest rooms, 33 slips for vessels up to 300 feet and 20,000 square feet of meeting space.
Stanton comes to LXR most recently from Pyramid Advisors, based in Boston, Massachusetts, where he served as vice president and managing director for two years. At Pyramid, he was responsible for directing the conversion, renovation and operation of the Hilton Indianapolis (formerly an Adam's Mark Hotel), the Radisson Hotel in Northbrook, Illinois (formerly an Adam's Mark Hotel) and the DoubleTree Hotel in Oak Brook, Illinois (formerly a Hyatt Hotel). Prior to that, he was general manager at The Westin Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana for nearly seven years. Stanton has been in the hospitality industry for 38 years with an emphasis in management the last 26 years. He holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
