Christopher Costabile Named General Manager of Sheraton Long Island
SHELTON, CT, May 16, 2006. Christopher Costabile, a hospitality industry veteran with 20 years experience, has been named general manager of the Sheraton Long Island in Hauppague, N.Y, announced Gerald P. Chase, chief operating officer of New Castle Hotels & Resorts, which manages the property.
As general manager, Costabile will oversee day to day operations of the award-winning hotel, and will spearhead a planned renovation and expansion project. Costabile joins New Castle from The Roosevelt Hotel in New York City, where he was hotel manager for two years. Prior to that, he was general manager of the Harrison Conference Center in Glen Gove, N.Y. from 2001 to 2004. He previously served as director of operations at the property from 1997 to 2001.
A resident of New Fairfield, Conn., Costabile holds a bachelor of arts in hotel/restaurant management from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, N.Y.
