Harold Rowland Named Sr Director, Hotel Ope at L'Auberge du Lac
LAKE CHARLES, LA, June 6, 2006. Harold Christopher Rowland, an executive with key luxury hotel operations expertise, has joined L'Auberge du Lac Hotel & Casino, a $365 million Texas Hill Country-themed property in Lake Charles, La. In his new position, Rowland is responsible for overseeing all hotel, facility, golf, retail and spa operations for the resort casino.
Previously, he worked as general manager of the historic Tantallon Country Club in Fort Washington, Md. Prior to that, Rowland was general manager at The Golf Club at Mansion Ridge in Monroe, NY; a 220-acre golf club created by legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus, featuring a 12,000 square foot clubhouse, ballroom and full service restaurant.
He began his career with KSL Resorts, promoted through positions including assistant director of golf services, director of golf services and head golf professional at luxury golf resorts including the Doral Golf Resort and Spa in Miami, Fl. and the Grand Traverse Golf Resort in Traverse City, Mi.
Additionally, Rowland was director of guest services for Westin & Sheraton Our Lucaya Beach & Golf Resort in Freeport, Grand Bahama Island and director of rooms for The Diplomat Country Club & Spa in Hallandale, Fl.; a member of the esteemed Starwood Luxury Collection of hotels and resorts.

Rowland is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He has also successfully completed Six Sigma Training in addition to PGA Business School I & II.
Rowland lives in Lake Charles, La.; he is married with two children.
