Marriott to Build 5-star Hotel in Chengdu, China
CHENGDU, China, June 28, 2006. Marriott will invest in a five-star hotel in the science & tech business center on the South Renmin Road of Wuhou District of Chengdu, capital city of southwestern China's Sichuan Province.
Involving an investment of estimated CNY 100 million or more, the new hotel is planned to cover a land area of more than 20,000 square meters, and with 16 floors and more than 300 guest rooms. At present, the design work for the hotel has started.
