Rosen Veteran Dan Giordano Named GM of Shingle Creek

ORLANDO, FL, June 28, 2006. Harris Rosen, President and COO of Rosen Hotels & Resorts, announced today that Dan Giordano has been named the General Manager for Florida's largest independent hotelier's latest venture: The new Rosen Shingle Creek Resort & Shingle Creek Golf Club in Orlando opening this Sept. 9.

Dan has done an exemplary job in his position as general manager of the Rosen Centre. As the new resort's general manager, Giordano will oversee all aspects of the resort's operations. Giordano looks forward to continuing in a leadership role within the company. Giordano is no stranger to convention hotel openings, having been part of the pre-opening team for the Walt Disney World Dolphin in 1990, where he stayed on as director of catering sales prior to coming to the Rosen Centre in 1995. Giordano joined the award-winning Rosen Centre, one of seven Rosen hotels, as director of conference management and was named general manager in 2002.

Giordano began his career in Manhattan at the Grand Hyatt New York and the New York Marriott Marquis in a variety of food and beverage management positions. He received his bachelor's degree in hotel and restaurant management from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1984.

Giordano and his wife Trish reside in Orlando with their two sons Chris and Michael. He enjoys youth sports, travel and enjoys working out.
