Alysia DeSocio Appointed Director of Sales

GARDEN CITY, NY, June 29, 2006. The Garden City Hotel, a world-class luxury hotel located in Long Island, NY, has named Alysia DeSocio as its new Director of Sales. DeSocio will be responsible for global room sales with a focus on account management and new business development.
DeSocio has been a Director of Sales for over 12 years at various properties on Long Island and throughout the tri-state region.
"Alysia's years of experience on Long Island was a perfect fit for our property as we were looking for a talented person who had an understanding of our luxury venue market," said Brian Rosenberg, Vice President Sales & Marketing of the 280-room luxury hotel. DeSocio's recently held positions include Director of Sales & Marketing at The Inn at Fox Hollow and Sales & Marketing Consultant for both the hotel and spa industries. Before that, she held positions at The Regent Wall Street, Radisson JFK, and The Belleview Biltmore Resort & Spa, as well as worked for Crossroads Hospitality Company. In addition, she was nominated for Marketing Executive of the Year in 2004 at the Second Annual Marketing Executives Awards on Long Island.
DeSocio earned her Bachelor of Science/Business Administration Degree in Marketing from the University of Central Florida.
