Stefani Chaney, New Director of Catering at Carmel Valley Ranch
CARMEL, CA, July 13, 2006. Carmel Valley Ranch (www.CarmelValleyRanch.com), a premiere luxury retreat set amongst the foothills of Carmel, Calif., has named Stefani Chaney as director of catering and conference services. In her new position, Chaney will oversee onsite catering sales and special event coordination as well as spearhead the development and launch of the resort's outside catering services.
Prior to Carmel Valley Ranch, Chaney spent five years as director of catering for CordeValle Resort in San Martin, Calif., where she is credited for building the resort's event business from the ground up, specializing in high profile social events, executive retreats and golf tournaments. During her tenure at CordeValle, the facilities received a Mobile Four Star rating for excellence in service and facilities, as well as recognition from Harper's Hideaway Report and Conde Nast Traveler. Prior to CordeValle, Chaney served as catering manager for the Sonoma Mission Inn, focusing on offsite winery events and elaborate weddings.

A native of Northern California, Chaney began her experience in the hospitality industry as a hostess for some of Carmel's signature restaurants and hotels, including The Highlands Inn and Casanova Restaurant. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Academy of Art College in San Francisco.
