TCF Sychronises Frankfurt Tourism Office

. October 14, 2008

FRANKFURT, Germany, July 19, 2006. Tourismus+Congress GmbH Frankfurt am Main (TCF), the official tourism office and destination management company for the city of Frankfurt is selecting MICROS's myfidelio.net distribution services.

The central system solution facilitates reservation bookings made via the www.frankfurt-tourismus.de/ website for all of the 250 hotels in the city of Frankfurt and its surrounding areas. TCF worked with MICROS-Fidelio Germany to successfully deploy in the fall of 2005 the MICROS central solution, which is being fully hosted in the MICROS Data Center located in Frankfurt, Germany.

TCF actively markets Frankfurt tourism around the world and provides information to tourists on places to stay, things to do, sites to see, and places to eat. TCF operates its own call center and internet booking engine for reservations to Frankfurt hotels. The MICROS central solution provides TCF with a real-time online environment to manage hotel room inventory directly with that of the front office system in the hotels. The complete solution includes a content management system, an accounting module for automatic invoicing, month end reports, and other modules to manage the reservation process.

"Many of the hotel properties in Frankfurt are installed with a MICROS- Fidelio property management system," stated Gunter Hampel, General Manager, Tourismus+Congress GmbH Frankfurt am Main. "This familiarity allows the hotel properties to self manage the rates and inventory given to TCF. It strengthens the relationship we have with these hotels because they know we are working with a global technology partner that is both respected and reliable and with which the hoteliers are comfortable."

"MICROS has actively expanded its central solutions business towards destination management agencies and their portals, providing real sales synergies to its existing hotel client base," stated Kaweh Niroomand, President of MICROS EAME. "MICROS's success with TCF allows us to expand this destination management concept beyond Frankfurt to other larger German cities like Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, and Munich. We look forward to a strong partnership with TCF."
