Chris Van Dam Re-appointed GM at Palace of the Lost City
MAY 15, 2009 - Sun International announced the re-appointment of Chris Van Dam in the position of General Manager at The Palace of the Lost City. Van Dam was first appointed General Manager of the Palace of the Lost City in July 2004 before he moved on to the 639-room Sahara Sun Sands and Oasis Hotel in Port Ghalib, Egypt.
Van Dam started his hotel career in 1988 at the Carlton Hotel in Johannesburg. Since then he has worked for hotels in Monaco and Turkey. He joined Sun International in 1989, first at Sun City and later at The Royal Livingstone as Hotel Manager. Here he gave a strong proof of his dedication and hard work as well as of his ability of attending the needs of global travelers. Born in South Africa and of French descent, he is fluent in French and English.
