Joyce Announces Hotel Indigo, Tapestry Park

DECEMBER 20, 2006. The Hotel Indigo in Jacksonville, Florida to be owned and operated by Zieg Hospitality of Jacksonville, Inc., will be the brand's eighth flag and will represent the third hotel in the state. Hotel Indigo Sarasota opened in October and a Fort Myers location is expected to open at the end of next year.

"Tapestry Park is in one of the most dynamic commercial and residential areas of Jacksonville," said John Joyce, president of Joyce Development Group, the primary developer of the retail, restaurant and office aspects of Tapestry Park.

Phase one of the mixed-use urban village project will feature 52 townhomes developed by Birmingham, Ala.-based Arlington Properties, the 96-room boutique Hotel Indigo, a lakeside restaurant, 16,000 square feet of office condominium space and 41,000 square feet of main street retail space.

Development of phase two, which is currently planned by Arlington Properties for approximately 275 residential units, is scheduled to commence in June 2007.

The newest member of the InterContinental Hotels Group family, Hotel Indigo is the industry's first branded boutique hotel experience.

Tapestry Park, located along Deer Lake Drive west adjacent to the Merrill Lynch office campus, is situated just north of the Southside Boulevard and J. Turner Boulevard interchange with The St. Johns Town Center, the University of North Florida and the South Campus of Florida Community College of Jacksonville being just minutes away.
