Auburn U Hotel Names Arif Kor Exec Assistant Manager F&B
AUBURN, AL, June 10, 2009 - The Hotel at Auburn University is pleased to welcome Arif Kor as its new Executive Assistant Manager of the Food and Beverage Department. Kor brings international experience to the hotel from award-winning restaurants and hotels in Coppet, Switzerland; Istanbul, Turkey and Melbourne, Australia. Kor's primary objective as the executive assistant manager is to ensure the Food & Beverage programs continue to exceed guests' expectations. He will also be a co-educator of the Food & Beverage-related courses administered through Auburn University's Hotel & Restaurant Management Training program on campus in The College of Human Sciences and at The Hotel at Auburn University.

Before joining The Hotel at Auburn University, Kor pursued a nine-year career with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, most recently serving as the executive assistant manager at The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco. Kor also assisted with openings of several Ritz-Carlton properties and held various senior-level positions in Istanbul, Turkey; Reynolds Plantation, Ga.; Half Moon Bay, Calif. and Naples, Fla.
