Raffles Canouan Welcomes New GM, Wayne Kafcsak

JULY 6, 2009 - Raffles Hotels & Resorts has appointed Mr Wayne Kafcsak as General Manager of Raffles Canouan, The Grenadines, with effect from 12 June 2009.
Mr Kafcsak brings to Raffles Canouan a wealth of experience in operating luxury Caribbean resorts, having held senior positions in properties located in British Virgin Islands, US Virgin Islands and Turks & Caicos in British West Indies over a period of 30 years. He joins Raffles Canouan from Peter Island Resort & Yacht Harbour in the British Virgin Islands where he was at the resort's helm for 12 years, first as General Manager and then Managing Director.
Raffles Canouan is Raffles Hotels & Resorts' award-winning resort in St Vincent and The Grenadines. The resort enjoys great appeal among private jet travellers and last year extended its aircraft runway to 5,900 feet. Canouan Airport now accommodates the landing of most private jets including the Airbus 319 and Boeing 320 as well as ATR 70-seater planes at full capacity.
