New Role for Kurt Wachtveitl at Mandarin
JULY 9, 2009 - Legendary Bangkok hotel chief Kurt Wachtveitl is to remain with the Mandarin Oriental Group as a Special Advisor. Kurt retired at the end of May after 41 years as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok.
His new responsibilities will include acting as Brand Ambassador at Mandarin Oriental events worldwide, the recruitment and development of talented employees, and assisting in the development of new hotel projects, restaurant concepts and spa operations.
