Justin D. Shelton Appointed President of Springwood Hospitality
YORK, PA, July 24, 2009 - Springwood Hospitality LLC of York, PA is pleased to announce the appointment of Justin D. Shelton as President of the company. Mr. Shelton replaces David H. Hogg, who will remain active with the firm as Chairman and CEO.
Mr. Shelton relocated to York County, PA from Dothan, AL to take the helm of the firm. For nearly four years, Shelton has been the Vice President of Operations for Larry Blumberg & Associates (LBA), one of the nation's most successful and fastest growing franchisees of Hilton and Marriott brands. He had worked for LBA since November, 2001.
"I am very excited to get to work with Springwood," Mr. Shelton said. "They have some aggressive goals for the future, and I want to help them achieve these goals in a way that helps make money for the investors in our hotels. They have a good track record, and I want to help them improve on that as we move forward."
Under Mr. Shelton's direction, Springwood Hospitality LLC this week assumed all management responsibilities for the Holiday Inn Express and the Comfort Inn in York, PA. These properties had formerly been managed by David Vanarsdale d/b/a DVACO of York, PA.
Springwood will also manage the firm's proposed Country Inn & Suites by Carlson, Hershey, at the Park. This hotel will start construction in just a few weeks, on Route 39 at Grandview Drive, just north of the main entrance to HersheyPark.
