Lyndsay Picciano Named Director of Catering at Fairmont Copley Plaza

BOSTON, MA, September 2, 2009 - The Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston announces the appointment of Lyndsay Picciano to director of catering.

Ms. Picciano brings a wealth of catering experience to this position. Ms. Picciano joined Fairmont in 2002 as a catering coordinator. In 2003 she was named the hotel's Colleague of the Year and received the Massachusetts Lodging Association Award for Employee of the Year.

Ms. Picciano was promoted to Catering Sales Manager in 2004, and in December 2006, was promoted to Assistant Director of Catering responsible for the weddings market. As director of catering, Ms. Picciano will direct sales and management of a variety of functions from weddings and social events to political fundraisers and corporate events.

Ms. Picciano is the First Vice President of the New England Chapter of the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE). An avid runner, she has twice participated in the Boston Marathon. She volunteers for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and is actively involved in the hotel's colleague committees, including the property's environmental and colleague recognition committees.
