NEWPORT BEACH, CA, September 15, 2009 - Kathie C. Johnson has recently joined BBC&R as Sales Manager. Kathie comes from a very diverse hospitality background and was most recently at The Island Hotel here in Newport Beach. She began her career in 1983 at one of Marriott largest Convention properties in front office operations, then transitioning to Conference Services and eventually leading her to an award winning career in Sales. She has held positions with several corporations, Marriott, Red Lion, Hilton, and Interstate Hotels & Resorts. Over the last ten years her focus has been in the resort & luxury hotel market. Kathie was on the board of directors with MPI Orange County as Director of Communications and Director of Membership. MPIOC nominated her for Supplier of the year at the 2008 MPIOC Awards.
