WATCH HILL, RI, September 17, 2009 - Daniel Hostettler, managing director of the Ocean House in Watch Hill, RI, announced recently that Antonia Korosec has been appointed assistant managing director of rooms for the 49-room, five-star hotel that will enjoy a grand re-opening in June 2010 following a complete transformation. Additionally, Mr. Hostettler also announced the appointment of Jonathan Norton as vice president of finance.

"Ms. Korosec's stellar background in prestigious five-star hotels, coupled with her extensive travel experiences and sophistication, will serve Ocean House guests and residents superbly," said Hostettler.

A resident of Monte Carlo and world traveler, Korosec is presently assistant managing director of Le Grand Paradis, an upscale, seasonal ski resort hotel in Val d'Isere, France.

From 2006 to 2008 she was executive assistant to the president and assistant hotel director (rooms division) for Lajitas, The Ultimate Hideout in Lajitas, TX. This is a 120-room property with a variety of resort activities. It is a Leading Hotel of the World and a Preferred Hotel.

Earlier she served as food and beverage and club house manager of the Yacht Club de Monaco, a luxury private club founded by HSH Prince Rainier III, serving a distinguished roster of international clientele to a five-star standard. She was also guest relations associate for Orient-Express Hotel Group, serving its luxury cruise ship Road to Mandalay in Myanmar.

Korosec holds an undergraduate degree in International Hospitality Management from the Ecole Hotelier de Lausanne in Switzerland and is fluent in French, English, German and Spanish.

Jonathan Norton was most recently the Director of Finance for Goodwin Hotel Management LLC based in Hartford, CT, a position he started in 2005. Previously he was Regional Controller for the Waterford Hotel Group of Waterford, CT, and prior to that served in the same capacity for the Norwich Inn and Spa in Norwich, CT, and several other hotel properties.

"Jonathan has extensive experience as both a controller and financial director for individual hotels and multiple-property companies," said Hostettler. "His thirty years of experience have provided him with a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, and make him a valuable addition to our team."

His hospitality postings have been primarily finance related following an early career introduction to the industry as a food and beverage director.

Norton holds an undergraduate degree from Boston College's School of Management. He is a past president of and still serves on the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Chapter of Hospitality, Financial and Technology Professionals and is presently Chairman of the Education Committee for the Connecticut Lodging Assn.
