Christine Dodson Named Director of HR at Hotel ZaZa
HOUSTON, TX, January 3, 2007. Christine Dodson has been named Director of Human Resources at Hotel ZaZa Houston. Located in the heart of the city's Museum District, the hotel is scheduled to debut in February 2007.
From 1998 until accepting her new post, Dodson was the Director of Human Resources for the Jesse H. Jones Rotary House International Marriott Conference Center in Houston, TX. In this capacity, she was responsible for leading and directing all strategic HR planning functions, including labor relations, revenue management, budget control, wage and hour analysis, payroll, management and hourly development, training, counseling plus recruiting and retaining talent. Before that, she was the Assistant Director of Human Resources at the Renaissance Houston Hotel.
Dodson began her career in hospitality as a human resources management trainee at the Renaissance Denver Hotel. She earned a B.S. degree in Hospitality/Tourism and Restaurant Management from the University Wisconsin Stout in Menomonie, WI. She also holds associate degrees in Tourism and Recreation Management and Recreation Resource Management from Madison Area Technical College in Madison, WI. Dodson is PHR Certified (Professional Human Resources Certification) and was co-chair for the 2006 Houston Hospitality Human Resources Association.
