New Management Team in Place at Doubletree Miami Airport
NOVEMBER 5, 2009 - New York based United Capital Corp. announced that industry veteran Anthony Ferrara has been named General Manager for their recently purchased Doubletree Miami Mart Airport Hotel and Exhibition Center. Ferrara has nearly 20 years experience as a GM, and is a well-known hotel executive in South Florida, having been GM at several high profile area hotels.
At the same time, it was announced that Charlette Tuiccillo will take over as Director of Sales and Marketing for the property. Tuiccillo has been in Sales in the hospitality industry at the hotel and regional levels for 20 years.
'Both Tony and Charlette bring excellent market knowledge as well as broad overall experience to this hotel, and position us to take advantage of the renovations and repositioning of the property', according to Stephen Kronick, VP Hotel Operations for the owner, United Capital.
The 334-room hotel has over 156,000 square feet of meeting room, ballroom, and convention space, making it the third largest event host property in South Florida. It is also attached to the world-famous Miami International Merchandise Mart, well-known for its fashion-focused retail stores, events and trade shows. The property will be undergoing renovation of guest rooms and corridors, lobby and all public space, meeting facilities, restaurant and lounge, and convention space as part of the change of ownership and management.
