November 17, 2009 - Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT) today announces the opening of Four Points by Sheraton Raleigh-Cary, the brand's fourth hotel in the Raleigh metropolitan area. Owned and managed by Parks Hospitality Group, the newly constructed hotel offers 129 spacious guest rooms with comfortable beds, a lively social atmosphere and popular extras such as free high-speed Internet access, complimentary in-room bottled water, full service business center, state of the art fitness center and much more.

Four Points by Sheraton Raleigh-Cary exemplifies the brand's refreshed, new look, updated as part of a global portfolio rejuvenation campaign. In the past five years, Starwood and its partners have invested more than $1 billion to reinvent Four Points by Sheraton, resulting in a 70 percent turnover of its portfolio driven by major property renovations, conversions and new-build hotels.

Four Points by Sheraton Raleigh-Cary occupies a prime spot in Crossroads Plaza in Cary, North Carolina, right between Raleigh and Research Triangle Park. The hotel is a short stroll to more than 70 stores and restaurants, and convenient to downtown Raleigh, RDU Airport and several sports and entertainment venues including the Koka Booth Amphitheater, Carter-Finely Stadium, the RBC Center and Time Warner Music Pavilion. Also nearby are North Carolina State University, Duke University, and the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, as well as the corporate offices of ABB, Caterpillar, Siemens and Novartis.

Four Points by Sheraton Raleigh-Cary will provide over 1,600 square feet of flexible meeting and conference space, perfect for small to mid-size business meetings or social events. The hotel offers on-site dining at the Park Bar & Grill serving daily cooked-to-order breakfast or a full American breakfast buffet, a wide assortment American cuisine dinner menu and nightly room service.
