ARAMARK Expands Operations in Olympic National Park
The firm lands a deal for the Lake Crescent Lodge.
February 04, 2010 - ARAMARK Parks and Destinations, a leading concessioner of the National Park Service, today announced it has been awarded a 10-year contract by the National Park Service to operate Lake Crescent Lodge, located in Olympic National Park.
Under the agreement, ARAMARK will be responsible for all management and operational functions of the property, including overnight accommodations, food and beverage services, retail, rentals and fuel sales at Lake Crescent Lodge and nearby Fairholme and Hurricane Ridge stores in Olympic National Park. This win further expands ARAMARK's lodging presence on Washington state's scenic Olympic Peninsula, where it also manages Kalaloch Lodge, Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort and Lake Quinault Lodge.
“The addition of Lake Crescent Lodge to our portfolio is a reflection of the outstanding job our team has done managing the other three Olympic Peninsula properties,” said Bruce Fears, president of ARAMARK Parks and Destinations. “We look forward to continuing our work with the National Park Service and the surrounding community to further enhance the experience for guests visiting Olympic National Park.”
For over 25 years, ARAMARK has built a close-knit relationship with the Olympic Peninsula community, including hosting annual Earth Day events and holiday parties, establishing a recycling center for use by local residents, providing educational opportunities for local school children, and supporting local charities and organizations.
Historic Lake Crescent Lodge, built in 1916 as "Singers Tavern" in Olympic National Park serves as an ideal base camp for the variety of recreational activities in the park while allowing guests to experience the charm of a turn-of-the-century resort. The comfortable, spacious guest rooms are nestled among the giant fir and hemlock trees on the shore of beautiful Lake Crescent and offer wonderful views of the lake.
A variety of guest rooms are available at Lake Crescent Lodge, including the historic lakeside Roosevelt Cottages. Guests can make reservations for Lake Crescent Lodge or ARAMARK's other Olympic Peninsula accommodations by visiting www.visitwashingtonparks.com.
ARAMARK also partners with the National Park Service to manage hospitality programs and guest services inside Shenandoah National Park, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Mesa Verde National Park, Gettysburg National Military Park, Denali National Park, and Glacier Bay National Park.
