Luxe Worldwide Sees Signs of Recovery in Total Room Night Production Rise of 15%

New Hotel Members Also Up 100% YTD

. March 18, 2010

LOS ANGELES, CA - (March 8, 2010) - While many in the hotel industry are still adopting a "wait and see" attitude with regard to proclaiming an end to the difficult economic times, Luxe Worldwide Hotels is already seeing an upswing for its membership:

  • Room nights by arrivals consumed is up 15.2% for January and February of 2010 versus the same period in 2009;
  • Room night revenues are up 12.1% during the same time period;
  • New hotel members are up 100% YTD versus 2009.

According to Efrem Harkham, CEO and Founder of Luxe Worldwide Hotels, "We are thrilled by these numbers and the fact that the March booking pace is already up as well." Mr. Harkham attributes these increases to the fact that all of Luxe's hard work in continuing to invest the time in proactive revenue management and training for member hotels, sales calls, e-mail marketing, distribution channels, and more is all paying off.

"At a time when many hotel representation chains and brands tell members there is nothing they can do and they have to sit back and wait out the economic storm, Luxe is demonstrating results for its membership," he added.
