Lior Sekler Joins HRI Lodging as Director of Corporate Revenue Management & Global Distribution
New Orleans, LA - (March 23, 2010) - Lior Sekler, who directed revenue management for the North American properties of the Sofitel luxury hotel chain, has been appointed director of corporate revenue management and distribution for HRI Lodging, announced Gary Gutierrez, president of the New Orleans-based hotel group.
In his new position at HRI Lodging, Sekler will provide individual hotel managers and sales directors improved analysis and tools to maximize income through the application of sophisticated revenue management models.
“Our rapid growth requires that we continue to improve our financial modeling systems and quality control practices to compete with the very best of the best in the hospitality arena,” said Gutierrez. “Lior brings to HRI Lodging the vast knowledge and experience of yield management and GDS optimization from his past affiliation with Hilton Corporation and the Sofitel luxury collection of hotels. We expect him to steer our portfolio of hotels to the next level of success by enhancing current relationships with our brand partners in addition to alternative booking outlets like online travel channels Expedia, Hotels.com and Trip Advisor,” said Gutierrez.

Sekler graduated from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration, where he was a member of the Senior Honor Society of the Quill & Dagger. He has also earned the designation of Certified Revenue Management Executive (CRME).
