Elite Island Resorts Announces Key Staff Appointments

MARCH 15, 2010 - Elite Island Resorts, an award winning, Green Globe certified Caribbean hotel company, proudly announces personnel appointments effective immediately. Chris Ghita is now general manager of Palm Island, the Grenadines, the famed 125-acre private island resort-escape. He was formerly in charge of operations and the rooms division for Mount Cinnamon Beach Resort in Grenada, and has had extensive experience with luxury and Caribbean resorts.
Cedric Henry, most recently resort manager of the popular eco-friendly Verandah Resort & Spa, is now the property manager at the world-famous and highly acclaimed Galley Bay Resort & Spa on Antigua. Henry will report to James Lane II, the resort's general manager. Marsha Moss has assumed the role of resort manager at The Verandah Resort & Spa in addition to being corporate administrator for Elite Island Resorts. In her new role she will report to Alex DeBrito, vice president of operations.
At the popular and luxurious, which was just recently renovated, St. James's Club & Villas, Antigua, Gem Boothman has been named manager of guest services. Clara Miguel now replaces Boothman as activities director, which Boothman held this position at the resort previously. In Boothman's new role she plans to re-launch the resort's Facebook group page, create a new arrival orientation program and most importantly increase the level of personalized services the resort provides.

Elite Island Resorts new “Gone FAMing” program is geared for travel agents with all inclusive rates that start as low as $89 per person per night, double occupancy. The travel agent promotion is based on a two-night minimum. Up to two children may share the same room for a low $39 per child all-inclusive at Elite Island Resort's family friendly properties. The resort “Gone FAMing” program is valid from May 1 to December 20, 2010.
Special $199 American Airlines roundtrip travel agent airfares are available through Elite Island Resorts for agents (with valid IATAN cards). Plus, one companion may accompany travel agents at a reduced airfare of $249. American Airlines' special agent airfares apply May 1 to June 30, and September 1 to November 15, 2010.
