Regal Appoints Robert J. Gerber as GM Regal Riverside Hotel in Hong Kong
March 25, 2010 - Regal Hotels International is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Robert J. Gerber as General Manager of Regal Riverside Hotel. He is also taking the role of Group Director of Project in the Group.
Mr. Gerber has over 30 years in the hospitality industry. His first General Manager's posting in Hong Kong was at the Victoria Hotel in 1985 which he also held the position as Area Director of Operations of New World Hotels. Mr. Gerber has an extensive know-how in Asia Pacific hospitality industry through his distinguished career in General Manager's position with a number of renowned international brands such as Swiss Grand Hotel in Seoul, Grand Formosa Regent Hotel in Taipei, Manila Hotel in Philippines, Regent Hotel in Ningbo. Prior to joining Regal, Mr. Gerber was the General Manager for the Pre-opening and Grand Opening Project of the New World Hotel, Dalian, China.
Mr. Gerber is an active member of the hotel industry and has held in the past the positions of Finance Chairman and Vice Chairman along with Executive Committee Member for the Hong Kong Hotels Association.
