Tarrytown, NY - (March 29, 2010) - Let the kids make mom a special gift while she enjoys the real gift - a delicious gourmet Mother's Day Brunch.

The Tarrytown House Estate invites you to join them on Sunday, May 9 for a Mother's Day Brunch with two separate seatings, at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Enjoy an incredible array of hot breakfast and lunch entrees, crisp salads and cold platters, a carving station, delectable desserts and a children's buffet with all their favorites.

This year, to entertain the kids and give mom a break, The Tarrytown House Estate will offer a special arts and crafts table where children can make a Mother's Day gift. Staff will help the kids paint and design their own clay seedling pot and plant herb seeds so mom can start her garden.

“We know that being a mother has its rewards, but it can also be stressful,'' said Steve Sackman, Regional Director of Sales and Marketing. “At the Tarrytown House Estate, mom can enjoy a wonderful meal with her family in a relaxed setting.''

The meal begins with freshly baked New York bagels, assorted muffins, custom-made omelets, smoked bacon, home fried potatoes, made to order French toast and Belgian waffles with a wide selection of fresh toppings. A cold platter selection includes a cured salmon display, seasonal grilled vegetables, house made mozzarella, tomato and basil and fresh fruit display.

For the next course, choose from mixed greens with assorted toppings and dressings, red and gold beet salad, Mandarin orange and Hudson Valley goat cheese salad, wild mushroom salad, seafood salad or toasted orzo, baby spinach, Kalamata olives, sundried tomatoes and feta cheese.

The Tarrytown House carving stations will feature slow roasted Prime Rib Au Jus with horseradish cream, apricot mustard glazed smoked ham, and bourbon spiked raisin compote and Tandoori marinated leg of lamb with yogurt sauce. Other gourmet hot lunch entrees include Miso glaze salmon filet with purple rice, herb roasted chicken pieces with cornbread stuffing, brown chicken Jus, cheese tortellini, broccoli rabe and ripe tomatoes with parmesan cream.

For the younger set, a children's buffet offers hot dogs, chicken tenders, and macaroni and cheese.

Of course, Mother's Day Brunch wouldn't be complete without a trip to the dessert buffet, stocked with an incredible assortment of cakes, pies and pastries.
