Ted Teng Appoints Deniz Omurgonulsen as VP of Membership for The Leading Hotels of The World, Ltd.

NEW YORK - (April 8, 2010) - Ted Teng, president and chief executive officer of The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd. has announced the appointment of Deniz Omurgonulsen to the newly created position of vice president of membership. Reporting directly to Mr. Teng, Ms. Omurgonulsen will be responsible for the overall membership of The Leading Hotels of the World, including managing development of the worldwide portfolio, the company's quality initiative, and business performance of the 450 member hotels.

Ms. Omurgonulsen first joined the company in March 2005 as strategic planning manager. She became director of membership development in 2006, and has overseen membership acquisition and retention since then. Ms. Omurgonulsen has been a key member of the Quality Committee which continuously monitors and controls the high level of service and product delivery required from all member hotels.

Prior to joining The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd. Ms. Omurgonulsen worked with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts in operations based at The Pierre Hotel in New York. In addition to her property responsibilities, she conducted numerous successful corporate-wide training and quality initiatives, including participating in pre-opening hotel training teams and implementing a global e-learning platform.

A native of Turkey, Ms. Omurgonulsen graduated with honors from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration. She is the president of the Cornell Hotel Society New York Chapter and actively participates in fundraising efforts for its student scholarship fund.
