April 13, 2010 - Loews Hotels announces the Loews Atlanta Hotel debuted on April 1, 2010. Located in the heart of Midtown Atlanta, Loews Atlanta Hotel anchors 12th and Midtown, a $500 million contemporary urban mixed-use development featuring 725,000 square feet of Class A office space, more than 60,000 square feet of flagship retail space and 52 luxury residences. As the first new-build hotel opening for Loews Hotels in more than five years and the brand's first property in Georgia, Loews Atlanta Hotel introduces the state to the company's range of branded services and amenities which delight guests with a supremely comfortable, uniquely local and vibrant travel experience.

Loews Atlanta Hotel features 414 guest rooms including 44 suites complemented by exhale Spa and Fitness Center, eleven and Bar eleven, the hotel's signature restaurant and bar, as well as more than 25,000 square feet of meeting space. Designed by award-winning firm Daroff Design Inc + DDI Architects, PC, Loews Atlanta infuses the neighborhood with a contemporary Southern sensibility, capturing the region's cultural vibrancy through artwork, artifacts and music by emerging and established Southern artists and composers.

“Our interior design is a celebration of all aspects of the visual and performing arts,” Karen Daroff, President and Principal in Charge of Design at Daroff Design, said. “We drew inspiration from the exciting, upscale contemporary midtown are, displayed in details such as the hotel's internally-illuminated column covers, which are evocative of the keys on a piano.”

The lobby features a sophisticated geometrically-designed floor made of black galaxy, mesa beige and pure white thassos. The front desk, a dynamic feature when entering the hotel, is made of kinor and white thassos. The stunning white-on-white sculptural backdrop is custom designed and fabricated by a local Atlanta artist. The design of the public spaces is sleek and contemporary with over-scaled casual lounge furniture that is upholstered in plush fabrics. The palette consists of rich, warm hues of beiges and chocolates with accents of amber, cherry and jasmine.

Guest rooms and suites reflect the Loews standard of supreme comfort while offering a sophisticated interpretation of modern design. Plush bedding and down comforters, doe-skin bathrobes and amenities designed by Lather exclusively for Loews Hotels are just some of the features of the oversized guest rooms and suites. Rich textures and colors create a warm and inviting ambiance ideal for both business and leisure travelers. Technophiles can find remarkable amenities such as an in-room connectivity panel which interfaces with a multitude of portable digital devices including the 37” high definition, flat-screen television found in each guest room. A 15” wide screen television in the bathroom and complimentary wireless internet access in all public spaces throughout the hotel ensure that no guests are disconnected from up-to-date news and correspondence. Standard rooms are available at an introductory rate of $129 per night, and suites are offered for $175 per night for a limited time.

For business travelers and meeting planners, Loews Atlanta Hotel offers some of Atlanta's largest and most flexible meeting and event spaces. More than 25,000 square feet of column-free function space is available including the 11,100 square foot Ellington Ballroom and the 5,400 square foot Mercer Ballroom. Guests of the Mercer Ballroom can enjoy sweeping views of Piedmont Park and Stone Mountain. Each ballroom features custom-designed, modern three-form and crystal chandelier suspended from the ceilings. Adding the 4,800 square feet of beautifully-appointed outdoor space allows for groups up to 1,230 guests. Ten breakout rooms, ranging from 480 to 1,260 square feet, as well as two dedicated meeting planner offices are also available.

As Loews Atlanta becomes an integral part of the Midtown neighborhood, guests and Atlanta residents are delighted by the dining and entertaining options at the charming hotel. The hotel's signature restaurant, eleven, serves contemporary interpretations of Southern classics with a Mediterranean twist and utilizes the finest farm sourced local produce, artisan cheeses and organic meat and poultry under the helm of Chef Olivier Gaupin. Bar eleven at Loews Atlanta is sure to become Midtown's newest hotspot for creative signature cocktails, classic favorites and an extensive collection of wines. For guests on the go, Market eleven offers gourmet snacks, sandwiches and a coffee bar for accessible culinary treat, when you don't have time for a seat.
