"The ten million employees of the U.S. travel industry greatly appreciate President Obama's commitment to save and create jobs in this critical sector of our nation's economy. On the heels of the President's recent positive comments in Las Vegas and passage of the Travel Promotion Act, today's remarks reaffirm the Administration's commitment to increasing travel to and within the United States. Travel is uniquely capable of quickly creating new jobs, driving local economies from coast to coast and restarting America's economic engine. We look forward to working with President Obama on his National Export Initiative, improving America's air travel process and other important initiatives that are certain to stimulate travel and put Americans back to work."
