Nancy Ajram to Headline World Travel Awards
27 April 2010 - Arabian singing sensation and UNICEF goodwill ambassador, Nancy Ajram, has been announced as the headline act of the World Travel Awards 2010 Middle East Ceremony on Monday 3 May at The Address Dubai Marina.
Dubbed by Ophrah Winfrey as the “Britney Spears of the Middle East”, she released her first album aged just fifteen. However, the real turning point in her career came with the massive hit from her the third album, “Ya Salam” in 2003 which won the hearts of people from all ages and nationalities and earned Nancy her reputation as the “Arab World's Sweetheart”.
Now a multi-platinum selling artist with seven studio albums to her credit, her credits include winning a World Music Award for “World's Best-Selling Middle-Eastern Artist”.
Last October, UNICEF chose her to be the first female regional ambassador for the Middle East.
More than a thousand of the Middle East's greatest travel companies are set to battle it out for a prize at the World Travel Awards next week.
