John Oakley Named DoSM at Four-Diamond InterContinental
HOUSTON, TX - May 19, 2010) - Veteran hotelier John Oakley has joined the Four-Diamond InterContinental Houston Near The Galleria as Director of Sales and Marketing. Previously, Oakley served as the Director of Sales at the Westin Galleria and Westin Oaks Houston.
With more than ten years of sales experience with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Oakley has held positions at the Sheraton New Orleans, Westin Tabor Center in Denver, and the Westin Riverwalk,San Antonio.
“John is a strong addition to our team with his extensive hotel sales experience and knowledge of the Houston market,” said Raymond Vermolen, general manager of InterContinental Houston Near The Galleria.
He began his hospitality career in Houston after receiving a Bachelors degree in Marketing from the University of Houston.
Oakley currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI).
