Free HITEC 2010 iPhone App and Mobile Solution Available Now

AUSTIN, TX, USA - June 17, 2010 - A new iPhone® mobile application, or “app,” is now available for a free download in advance of the 2010 Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC). Featuring the conference schedule, exhibitor information, maps and more, the app offers customized conference content for attendees. There is also a mobile Internet version which can be used for Android®, Blackberry® and other Internet capable devices. HITEC starts next week, June 21 - 24 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.

"HITEC attendees are users of cutting-edge technology, and see their smart devices as important accessories," said Frank Wolfe, CAE, CEO of HFTP. "With the HITEC app, conference-goers can quickly access the schedule and navigate their way through the four-day event using their own personal digital tool."

The app features an audio tour of the new GUESTROOM 20X, a special hands-on exhibit demonstrating a futuristic guestroom. In addition, the app also includes the HITEC education survey, allowing attendees to provide education session feedback that is used to plan future HITEC conferences. After downloading the app, attendees can sign up for free push notifications about the latest HITEC news and can plan which education sessions to attend by adding them to the "My Schedule" feature.
