Jennifer Flohr, CAE, CMP Promoted to SVP of CH & LA
September 16, 2010 - Jennifer Flohr, CAE, CMP, the California Hotel & Lodging Association's (CH&LA) Director of Membership & Events, has been promoted to Senior Vice President.
In announcing Flohr's promotion, CH&LA's President & CEO, Lynn S. Mohrfeld, CAE noted, “In the seven years that Jennifer has been with CH&LA, she has played a significant role in developing and expanding CH&LA's conferences and trade shows. Not insignificantly, Jennifer has earned both her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and Certified Association Executive (CAE) designations during her tenure at CH&LA, exhibiting an incredible commitment to professional development and a career in association management.”
Flohr has over 20 years of broad-based sales and marketing experience. She is active in Meeting Planners International (currently the Professional Development Chair for the Sacramento Sierra Nevada Chapter), the International Society of Hotel Association Executives, as well as California Society of Association Executives. Flohr plans over 25 events and meetings a year for the association as well as managing the membership department. Since joining CH&LA, she has played an important role in the association winning two American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) Chairman's Cups and four International Society of Hotel Executive (ISHAE) Awards of Excellence.
Flohr holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University at Chico in Journalism/Public Relations, with a minor in Tourism. She resides in Sacramento with her husband Chris and their sons, Michael and Brandon.
