The Leela Taps Thomas Lind as VP - Operations
Luxury Indian Hotel Group Continues Ambitious Expansion
MUMBAI, India, September 21, 2010 - One of India's most renowned luxury hotel brands, The Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts has named Thomas Lind as Vice President - Operations as it continues with an ambitious expansion.
A seasoned hotelier with more than 25 years of international experience, Lind has held senior executive positions with some of the world's leading luxury hotel brands including Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, The Ritz Carlton Hotel Company, Hyatt International and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. Prior to joining The Leela, he was Chief Operating Officer and Partner of Elysian Hotels & Resorts. Lind spent seven years with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. During that time, he served as the Regional Vice President and General Manager of the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh and General Manager of the Ritz Carlton Hotels in Mexico City and Caracas.

Last year, The Leela opened two new properties - The Leela Kempinski in Gurgaon, the fast-rising satellite of New Delhi and The Leela Palace Kempinski in Udaipur that iconic Rajasthani city on a lake. The Leela has luxury hotels and resorts in Bangalore, Goa, Kovalam (Kerala) and Mumbai and three additional properties are on the drawing boards for Agra, Hyderabad, and Lake Ashtamudi in Kerala.
