Pacifica Host to Manage La Valencia Hotel

The hospitality division of San Diego-Based Pacifica Companies assumes management of historic hotel in La Jolla, CA with option to purchase

September 20, 2010 - San Diego-based Pacifica Host Hotels and the Collins family jointly announced today that Pacific Host Hotels has assumed management of La Valencia Hotel, the historic hotel in La Jolla, Calif., and has the option to purchase the property.

La Valencia features 113 guest rooms, suites and villas and is fondly known among locals as “The Pink Lady of La Jolla.” Situated atop La Jolla Cove, overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean, the hotel is right in the heart of downtown La Jolla, within walking distance of elegant art galleries, antique and jewelry boutiques and an array of restaurants and cafes. Built in 1926, La Valencia has been an integral part of the history of La Jolla and a special “hideaway” for many of Hollywood's most elite stars. The hotel is a member of Preferred Hotels and Resorts Worldwide and National Trust Historic Hotels of America.
