Boutique Hotel Offers 40 Percent off Room Rates and $25 Prix Fixe Menu
October 14, 2010 - With Halloween just around the corner, the Porto Vista Hotel is offering its guests some scary good deals to get in high spirits. The hotel is offering guest room rates at up to 40 percent off during the months of October through December 29, 2010, and a special three-course prix fixe menu at its award-winning Glass Door restaurant for only $25.

Chef Brent Calley of The Glass Door restaurant has also prepared a three-course prix fixe dinner menu throughout the month of October for only $25 with the option of a wine pairing for an additional $10. While guests overlook stunning views of the San Diego Bay and downtown, the dinner will begin with Crab Salad and Saffron Corn Bisque with sauteed crab, chili oil and cilantro paired with Stellina di Notte Prossecco, Italy NV.
For the main dish, guests have the option of choosing from: Chicken Two Ways and Butternut Squash Gnocchi with shiitake mushrooms and cippolini onion paired with Edna Valley Syrah, San Louis Obispo 2007; or the Slipper Lobster Risotto with sweet corn, artichoke hearts, roasted fennel and mushrooms, paired with Grazioso Torrontes, Mendoza 2008. Dessert will round out the meal with a fall-inspired Pumpkin Tart made with buttermilk gelato and paired with Dolce Toscolo, Vin Santo.
