Hyatt Regency Chicago Makes Patrick Donelly GM and Paul Daly Resident Manager

CHICAGO, IL - October 20, 2010 - Hyatt Regency Chicago, 151 E. Wacker Drive, the largest hotel in the Midwest and Hyatt property in the world, announces the promotion of General Manager Patrick Donelly and welcomes Paul Daly as Resident Manager.

Hyatt Regency Chicago's General Manager, Patrick Donelly , a 23-year Hyatt veteran, has been promoted to oversee all operations at the 2,019-room Hyatt Regency Chicago. In this position, Donelly is responsible for the overall vision and future direction of the property. He began his Hyatt career in 1986 and served as Hyatt's Regional Food and Beverage Director at Hyatt Regency Chicago from 1991-1995. He returned to Hyatt Regency Chicago as General Manager in 2007 with many years of experience gained through prominent Catering, Convention Services, and Food and Beverage positions he held at several Hyatt hotels nationwide. Donelly has served as General Manager at Hyatt Regency Knoxville, Hyatt Regency Milwaukee, and Hyatt Regency O'Hare. He is very active in the business community and is a supporter of several charitable organizations. Donelly is currently a part of the IHLA Board of Directors, Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Illinois Restaurant Association, and the GNMAA.

Paul Daly , Hyatt Regency Chicago's new Resident Manager, comes to the property from the position of Vice President of Food and Beverage for Hyatt Hotels Corporation. In this position, Daly was responsible for brand standard development and execution, staffing and recruitment, and operation execution within all Food and Beverage operations for Hyatt Hotels North America. As Resident Manager at Hyatt Regency Chicago, he will be responsible for the management of the hotel, as well as the mentoring process of its employees. A 20-year Hyatt veteran, Daly began his career with Hyatt as a corporate management trainee. He has held various positions within the company including Food and Beverage Director at several Hyatt properties, such as Hyatt Regency Cincinnati, and Hyatt Regency McCormick Place. Daly held the position of Food and Beverage Director at Hyatt Regency Chicago from 2001-2004. He has also served as General Manager of Hyatt Deerfield. In addition to his most recent position as Vice President of Food and Beverage for Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Daly has served as Assistant Vice President of Food and Beverage for Hyatt, Board Chair of the Food and Beverage Committee for AHLA, and Board Member for Advisory Board of Virginia Tech Hotel School. Daly graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Virginia Tech.
