. November 23, 2010

Singapore - November 22, 2010 - The once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in a turtle release exercise at sunset in Bali, a private lunch at Saigon's historic Reunification Palace, dance the night away at typical Philippine Barrio Fiesta, or savour early evening cocktails at Singapore's beautifully renovated Peranakan Museum.

These are just some of the unique experiences offered by the InterContinental Hotel's new 'Insider Collection' launched today at the InterContinental Bali Resort, InterContinental Saigon, InterContinental Manila and InterContinental Singapore.

The Insider Collection is part of a global initiative by InterContinental hotels to bring a totally new dimension to corporate meetings, incentives and conference (MICE) guests.

It offers a carefully researched selection of activities that reflect the local expertise and knowledge of the people that work at the resort hotel, and comprises five elements:

Insider Locations:
The specialist MICE teams at InterContinental hold the key to a side of locations that visitors rarely see. Using their local knowledge and connections, they provide access to fascinating spaces, such as a traditional ceramic factory in Bali, small local restaurants that serve specialty dishes with secret recipes handed down through many generations in Saigon, the historic Plaza San Luis (Casa Blanca and The Teatrillo) in the Philippines and private lunches at the Raffles House for a glimpse of Singapore's history.

Insider Speakers:
The hotels have lined up a selection of exceptional speakers that they can call on to bring events to life including a Master of Balinese Meditation and renowned Reiki Teacher Sally Forrest will provide unique insights and local know-how to impact delegates with the power of knowledge.

Insider Community:
Working with partners, the hotel staff has created a range of experiences that benefit the environment and the local community such as a programme to save endangered turtles in Bali and Gawad Kalinga in the Phillippines, an organisation dedicated to eradicating poverty and restoring human dignity.

Insider Interactions:
Team building activities are designed to reflect the unique character, heritage and geography of the locations and include Balinese-style yoga known as Bayu Suci.

Insider Breaks:
Even simple break-outs can be fulfilling experiences and range from a soothing massage in Bali to a visit to Saigon's local market -- together with the hotel chef -- to select the freshest ingredients in preparation for an inclusive and interactive cooking class.

“The aim of the Insider Collection is to bring the history, culture and flavours of the destinations to life in a unique way,” said David Anderson, Vice President Brand Delivery Asia-Australasia & Global Resorts.

“While our network of hotels and resorts is global, our knowledge and expertise is local so we really looked far beyond everyday experiences to bring the best of Bali, Saigon and Singapore to this programme and provide unique, inspiring experiences to every event ”, he added
