Grand Millennium Al Wahda Appoints Costas Gavriel as Exec Assistant Manager
January 20, 2011 - With more than eighteen year's experience in the hospitality industry Costas S. Gavriel joins the newly opened Grand Millennium Al Wahda in Abu Dhabi as executive assistant manager in charge of sales and marketing.
Gavriel began his illustrious career as a business development executive at The Kensington Hilton in London, England.
Staying in his home city of London, Gavriel then moved to The Chesterfield Hotel in Mayfair, part of the Red Carnation Collection, where he was responsible for the conference and events sales.
Gavriel continued his career within the hospitality sector and has held various senior positions in sales and marketing with Radisson Edwardian Hotels, Melia Hotels and Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts both at property and also at regional level. His first taste of the Middle East was as cluster director of sales and marketing for the Rosewood Hotels which includes the spectacular and ultra luxury Al Faisaliah Hotel designed by Lord Foster, in Riyadh Saudi Arabia.
Prior to joining Grand Millennium Al Wahda in Abu Dhabi, Gavriel was vice president for the travel division at SAB Holdings in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
