Vantage Teams Up with Scott Anderson to Expand The Lexington Collection Brand

. January 21, 2011

CLEVELAND, OH - January 20, 2011 - Vantage Hospitality Group, Inc., the world's 10th largest hotel company, has joined forces with industry icon Scott Anderson to expand Vantage's group of upper-mid and upscale hotel brands under the Lexington Collection, particularly in the areas of reservation distribution services and technology.

When asked what he plans to accomplish in this relationship, Anderson replied, “It's simple. I want to grow the Lexington brands. Vantage has the most unique business model in the industry - one that has been very successful growing the Americas Best Value Inn brand to over 950 properties in just 11 years. I am sure the growth of Lexington can be just as strong.”

Anderson plans to use his extensive resources and contacts in the independent resort segment to bring potential clients into the fold. “I look forward to working with Roger Bloss and Lexington's Group President, Bill Hanley, to bring Vantage's well-established reservation system, revenue management, and distribution center to hotels and resorts that want to maintain their long-established identity, yet desire the resources and support of a major international hotel brand,” he said. He also plans to add value in the marketing and reservation distribution arena.

“I have known Scott for years and have admired his ability to constantly identify new opportunities for driving market share,” said Bloss, Founder of Vantage Hospitality Group. “This is a fast-moving industry and Scott has a sixth-sense about technology and distribution. When we talked about working together, I jumped at the chance to have someone of Scott's caliber helping us to grow the Lexington brands.”

With over 30 years experience as a senior hospitality executive, Anderson has held positions as President of the Hotel Del Coronado, President and CEO of Callaway Gardens, Managing Director of the 1996 Olympic Games, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Cendant Corporation, President and CEO of Swan and Richfield Hospitality, President and CEO of High Country Hospitality, President and CEO of the destination club Dream Catcher, and Group President of Kohler Company's Hospitality and Real Estate Division.

Anderson is President and owner of High Country Hospitality, a firm specializing in helping hotel and golf course operators navigate the convergence of technology and marketing in today's ever-changing environment; particularly in areas of inventory distribution, web-based marketing, social media, and data-based marketing. Anderson will bring all of High Country Hospitality's resources to bear in his work with Lexington, providing both High Country and Vantage with an opportunity to share in each other's rich experiences in the industry.

Anderson will be attending ALIS with Bloss and Hanley from January 24-26 in San Diego, CA. He may be reached at (303) 519-7372 or [email protected]. For more information about the Lexington Collection, please visit www.LexingtonCollection.com or www.VantageHospitality.com.
