Aston Hotels Announces Three New Hires
February 10, 2011 - Aston Hotels & Resorts announces the appointment of key staff in three divisions of the company. Hal Nordblom has joined the company as General Manager of The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach; Vishwas Bhatia has been appointed Senior Director, Corporate Revenue Optimization; and David Saito has been named Assistant Analyst, Corporate Operations.
Hal Nordblomcomes to the position of General Manager of The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach with a wealth of leadership skills. His hospitality career began as a bellman/concierge and he moved into management positions of increasing responsibility with Four Seasons Hualalai and Turtle Bay Enterprises. He most recently served as the director of property services for Sky River Management, LLC, of Honolulu.
Vishwas Bhatia brings 16 years of diversified international experience to the job of Senior Director, Corporate Revenue Optimization. Previously Bhatia headed up revenue management for Oberoi Group, which includes thirty hotels in six countries. He received his Master of Hospitality Administration from Cornell University and completed graduate studies with Cornell ESSEC at the University of Paris.
David Saito, newly appointed Assistant Analyst Corporate Operations for Aston Hotels & Resorts, has 20 years experience in the hotel industry in all areas of management, sales, food and beverage, program development and day-to-day resort management. Most recently he served as assistant executive manager of resort operations for the Ko Olina Beach Resort.
