Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas Appoints Joel Bloom DoF
Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas is pleased to introduce Joel Bloom as the five-star hotel's new Director of Finance.
March 2, 2011 - Along with a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida, Bloom brings a diverse hotel experience that began with Renaissance Hotels in Chicago and Ohio. He was Director of Finance and Accounting at the 1,675-room Atlanta Marriott Marquis for over three years, then held the same position at the Marriott's largest property, Orlando World Center Marriott Resort & Convention Center, for six years.

These mega hotels were excellent preparation for his transition to Las Vegas with its larger than life properties and experiences. Bloom began his Las Vegas chapter as part of the pre-opening team of Fontainebleau Resort as Vice President of Finance until August 2009. He then moved to The Canyons Resort Park City where he was Vice President of Operations Finance. In his new role Bloom will oversee all aspects of finance for Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas and directly report to General Manager Rajesh Jhingon.
