Real Builders & Dora Hospitality Start Construction of Souris Valley Suites
New $10 million hotel will feature the feeling of being on vacation.
March 3, 2011 - Dora Hospitality, LLC today announced construction is underway for an 89 room extended stay hotel, Souris Valley Suites Hotel in Minot, North Dakota. The Souris Valley Suites - Minot is expected to open in the Summer of 2011. The hotel plans to employee approximately 20 employees ranging from guest service representatives and housekeepers to a management team.
Dora Hospitality is already the largest operator of extended stay rooms in North Dakota. The Hotel is designed using Dora's experience serving North Dakota extended stay guests and will contain the features that guests want, evoking memories of National Park Lodges, while incorporating contemporary features that provide accessible comfort for business travelers and families alike.

The hotel design debuts a bold lodge-style decor and will create a residential atmosphere that is warm, inviting and comfortable. The hotel will feature a natural, fresh color palette that will make any guest feel like they are on a long vacation. Guest beds will be made using crisp, white linens as well as upgraded foam and feather pillows and guest baths will include a specially designed high-pressure shower experience.
The residential design includes business-focused necessities like complimentary high speed Internet access, that is available both wired and wireless. In addition, each room will include comfortable queen or king-sized beds, a sitting area with a lounge chair, and flat panel high - definition televisions with true high-definition access.
The Souris Valley Suites will offer a variety of amenities such as a complimentary hot breakfast buffet daily, a Sports Bar in the lobby, a free fitness center, free washers and dryers, a free business center, guest convenience store, kitchens in every room, evening manager's reception, and an area for guests to grill out in the gazebo.
The hotel is being built by Real Builders of Minot, which are also a partner and developer of the hotel. The construction is proceeding despite record sub-zero temperatures, reaching -20 degrees. “We have enclosed the entire pad under a tent so that we can meet the construction deadline, said Real Builders President and hotel partner, Joel Feist. “We will have the hotel open on time.”
