A Rockresort
March 28, 2011 - Bill MacFarlane, a 29-year veteran of the hospitality industry, has been appointed general manager of The Pines Lodge, A RockResort. In his new position, MacFarlane will oversee operations of this Beaver Creek ski lodge, known for its luxurious yet, intimate appeal.
MacFarlane joins The Pines Lodge most recently from the Inn and Suites at Riverwalk, a full-service property in nearby Edwards, Colo., where he oversaw all daily hotel operations and association management as general manager. Prior, MacFarlane was with Vail Resorts, where he was the general manager for the Inn at Beaver Creek (now The Osprey at Beaver Creek, A RockResort). In addition to Bill's impressive knowledge of the Rocky Mountain market, he holds degrees in both Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts, beginning his career as an apprentice chef in London.
“We are excited to welcome Bill to the leadership team here in Beaver Creek,” said Tim Estes, vice president of Beaver Creek and Vail Resorts Properties. “With a great passion for the outdoors, and impressive resume we're thrilled to welcome him back to the Vail Resorts team.”
Slopeside at Beaver Creek, The Pines Lodge is nestled between aspen and pines with ski-in access, exceptional accommodations and remarkable views. Guests are steps away from the ski slopes, a variety of outdoor activities, and Grouse Mountain Grill, an AAA Four Diamond Award-winning restaurant.
